Installation As Easy As 1-2-3

Installing your Smart Chicken Door is quick and straightforward, even if you’re not especially handy. Start by cutting a 9″ wide by 12″ high opening in your coop wall, with a frame that sits flush at about 32 inches high. Feed the power cord in through the top of the opening, then turn the door upside down and plug it into the bottom of the controller.

Next, place the door over the opening and fasten it securely using the four screws provided—two for the top and two for the bottom. Once it’s mounted, your Smart Chicken Door is installed and ready to use, giving your flock safe, automatic access in and out of the coop.

  • Manual mode: Open and close the door yourself with the buttons (great for testing or anytime you want direct control).
  • Clock / Time Set modes: Set the current time, then choose exact daily open/close times with an AM/PM indicator so the schedule stays accurate.
  • Timer mode: The door follows your set schedule automatically, opening in the morning and closing at night without you needing to be there.
  • Override options: Temporarily ignore the schedule so you can move the door as needed, then go back to automatic operation.
  • WiFi / Smart modes: Connect the door to your network so you can monitor and adjust it remotely while still keeping your flock on a consistent routine.
