How To Customize Your Chicken Door
Standard chicken Door
Our standard coop door, complete with an AC adapter and controller that allows you to set open/close times on your door.
Wifi Chicken Door
Similar to the standard door, but comes with a Wi-Fi controller that allows you to remotely control the door’s open/close times via an app.
AC Adapter (Default)
This adapter is the default power option included with the door. It plugs into a wall outlet and supplies safe, low-voltage power to your chicken door.
12 Volt Power Cord
Add an additional power option to your door. The 12-volt cord connects a 12-volt source—such as a solar battery box or adapter—to your chicken door.
3 FT Power Cord
The 3 ft power cord is a short cable that carries low-voltage power from the source (such as your AC adapter or 12V battery) to the chicken door/controller.
Solar Kit
The complete solar setup- The solar panel turns sunlight into electricity. The electricity feeds into the solar battery box, which contains a 12V battery and a charge controller.
Solar Panel
The solar panel is a flat panel that makes DC electricity when light hits it. It feeds that power into the solar battery box.
Solar Battery Box
The solar battery box stores and manages power, allowing the door to operate at any time.

I bought this WiFi Controller because I wanted the opening and closing of the door to coincide with sunup and sundown times as the seasons change. It came with no instructions, but after emailing the seller they sent them right away. It was super easy to set up and had no problem “discovering” my WiFi. The programming was quick and easy. Now it opens the door 30 minutes after sunup and closes 30 minutes after sundown. I am very pleased with the product so far.

I’ve got to say, the changeover from the standard controller to the wifi controller was seamless. So far, so good. It does mention that you can connect a coop light to the controller and that app has controls for it, but there is 1) no specification included for the connector size and 2) it does mention that there is a light available on the site, but there isn’t one to be found.
